The Melbourne Wolves celebrate their Easter Classic championship victory

The Melbourne Wolves have capped off a dominant Easter Classic campaign in Adelaide, going undefeated across the tournament to bring home the first club inter state silverware in a hard-fought Grand Final.

It wasn't always smooth sailing. The final tested the group early, with some nerves and pressure moments creeping in, but this team has built its identity on resilience. A composed reset, strong bench leadership and a return to team-first basketball saw the Wolves take control when it mattered most.

The guards led from the front all weekend, with George Lyons, Lukas Kraskov and Harrison Bradley providing energy, composure and impact on both ends. Through the middle, Tom Smith and Jess Gamble controlled tempo and kept the game on our terms, ensuring we played at our pace when the pressure was on.

In the paint, the game was won. Jack Baker stood tall at both ends, owning the key in crucial stretches, while Lucas Buckley embraced his mobile big role, finishing strong, creating turnovers and making big plays at big moments.

A special mention to Zak Cornish, who stepped into the tournament as a younger player. While his minutes were limited, his effort, attitude and readiness to contribute at any moment reflected the depth and culture of this team.

Across the entire weekend, every player contributed. Whether it was scoring, defence, pressure, or support from the bench, this was a true squad performance — the kind that wins tournaments.

And that's exactly what they did.

Out of more than 690 teams at the 2026 Adelaide Easter Classic, only 75 were crowned division champions, and the Wolves earned their place among them.

An undefeated run. A complete team effort. A championship earned. 🏆🐺
