Game 1 in the can in Adelaide! Well done Wolf Pack.

The Melbourne Wolves have kicked off their Easter Classic 2026 campaign in style, securing a strong opening win (62-21) built on balanced scoring and team-first play.

Leading the charge was Lucas Buckley with an impressive 18 points, supported closely by Jack Baker in the 5 spot (16) and Tom Smith (13) showing some highlight worthy basket cuts and distribution — this displayed the Wolves' offensive depth.

Contributions came from across the lineup, with Jess Gamble adding 6 points alongside some ferocious defence, George Lyons 4 points and a never say die attitude on D and attacking the rim with power, Lucas Kraskov 3 points by never taking a step back outside the key, and Harrison Bradley with some of the most tireless play at both ends of the court that would make the Energiser Bunny take pause.

The Wolves' ability to share the scoring load alongside selfless play, while maintaining composure through structure set the tone early with disciplined play and consistent execution with man to man accountability across the game.

A confident first-up performance puts the team in a strong position heading into the remainder of the tournament.
