Wolves Charge Into Grand Final with Statement Win

The Melbourne Wolves are through to the Grand Final of the Adelaide Easter Classic after a composed 54–33 win over Broadmeadows Broncos, but it didn't all come easy.
A nervous start saw the boys a step off their best, with a few forced passes and early missteps making things harder than they needed to be. But as this group has done all tournament, they responded. A calm reset on the bench, combined with the effective use of the trap, turned the game late in the first half and shifted momentum firmly in the Wolves' favour.
From there, it was back to what this team does best — team-first basketball, defensive pressure, and smart execution.

Jack "J Beanstalk" Baker was enormous in the five, dominating the paint and imposing himself physically on the contest. His 20-point performance came from relentless work inside, bullying the defence and finishing strong when it mattered most.
Lucas "T-Rex" Buckley played a critical anchor role, locking down a key opposition scorer in the second half while battling hard on the boards to control possession. Lucas "SOS" Kraskov delivered the kind of defensive performance that wins games — high pressure, disciplined, and selfless, setting the tone for the group.
At the point, Tom "Happy Gilmore" Smith orchestrated everything, keeping the team composed, organised, and flowing as the Wolves took full control of the game.
What started as a shaky opening turned into a dominant performance, and now, the Wolves are one step away.
Grand Final bound. 🐺🔥
